Starting with cleaning up the garage and going through the tool boxes to see what tools I already had. Other than a new table saw from my son for X-Mass and an old rotter just a few hand tools After looking at many videos I’m thinking of starting with a pack canoe. Working with 12’ lumber in a garage looks like I should have enough room. With some wood working experience but not many wood working tools. I had to move from Pittsburgh to Charlotte a few years back and had no room for the tools. Sometimes it’s good to start over. Finding a local lumber yard to get the wood that will also do the planning to get the right thickness. Thinking that I could have the gunwales and the green white oak milled to the right thickness. I do have a table saw and router but no thickness planner. So putting a shop together and the hunt for lumber is on!
